Verbos y expresiones de tecnología, viajes y futuro
Para hablar de tecnología, viajes y futuro usas love, enjoy y don't mind con -ing (I enjoy chatting), verbos como download, post y share, catch a bus, get on y arrive in, going to para los planes, will para predicciones y promesas, y If más presente con will para una condición.

Ideas clave
- Para decir qué te gusta hacer, después de love, like, enjoy, hate y don't mind el verbo va en -ing: «I love listening to music» (me encanta escuchar música), «I enjoy playing video games», «I don't mind waiting» (no me molesta esperar), «She hates reading long messages». Enjoy y mind van solo con -ing, nunca con to: «I enjoy chatting», no «I enjoy to chat». Like, love y hate también aceptan to («I like to read»), con un cambio de sentido muy pequeño; pero con would se usa solo to: «I'd love to visit Japan». Con he, she e it: loves, enjoys, hates, doesn't mind.
Archivos: download a file from the internet (bajar), upload a photo to a website (subir), post a comment on a website (publicar) y share a video with a friend (compartir). Conexión: chat with (o to) your friends (conversar), stream music (escuchar o ver en línea), go online (conectarse), follow an influencer (seguir) y search the internet (buscar). «I love streaming series», «I'm tired of watching videos» (cansado de ver videos). La frecuencia va antes del verbo, pero después de be: «I always check my email», «I'm never online».
Travel by más el medio, sin the: «I love travelling by train» (en Estados Unidos, traveling). Catch a bus, a train o a plane es alcanzarlo y subirse: «We caught the 8:30 bus». Get on y get off son subirse y bajarse: «get on the bus», «get off the bus». Book es reservar: «book a flight». Pack es hacer la maleta: «I packed my bags and left». Stay in a hotel es alojarse. Go on holiday (o go on holidays) es irse de vacaciones; en Estados Unidos, go on vacation. Y para contar el viaje: «Did you have a good trip?», «We went on a trip to the mountains».
- Arrive (llegar) cambia de preposición según el lugar, y nunca lleva to: arrive in con una ciudad o un país, «We arrived in Santiago at night», «When did you arrive in Chile?»; arrive at con un lugar concreto, como un edificio o una estación, «We arrived at the hotel at ten»; y sin preposición con home, here y there: «We arrived home late», «I arrived here in March». Para la secuencia de un viaje: «First we arrived in Lima, next we visited the museum, then we travelled to Cusco».
I'm going to visit my grandparents in January», «We're going to catch the early bus». Se conjuga el be: I'm, you're, he's, she's, we're, they're; en negativo, «I'm not going to go». La pregunta da vuelta el be: «What are you going to do?», «Where are you going to stay?», «When are you going to leave?».
- Para una predicción, una promesa o una decisión que tomas en el momento usas will más el verbo tal cual: «In 2050 people will live on Mars», «There will be solar cars», «I'll call you tomorrow» (promesa), «OK, I'll take the train» (decisión al instante). Will no cambia con he o she y se abrevia 'll; el negativo es won't: «It won't rain». La pregunta pone will adelante: «Will you come?», «What will you do?». Con una opinión: «I think it'll be cold», «Maybe it'll snow». Y going to sirve para la predicción con evidencia a la vista: «Look at those clouds: it's going to rain».
- Para una condición posible en el futuro (el condicional de primer tipo) la mitad con if va en presente simple y la otra mitad lleva will (o can): «If we use the dictionary, we'll improve our writing», «If I buy a car, it will be a solar car», «If it rains, we won't go to the beach». Cuando la parte con if va primero se escribe una coma; si va al final, no: «We'll stay at home if it rains». Will nunca va en la parte con if: «If I have time, I'll help you», no «If I will have time». La pregunta típica del tema es «What will you do if…?»: «What will you do if you don't have internet?».
